JAZZ & Blues SONG COMPETITION:
We have just added our first Jazz song competition! 
We are very excited about this one because it happens to be one of our favorite genres.
The rules are as follows:
* All music must be written and performed by the artist. NO COVERS!
* Contestants must own all rights and publishing to their music
* Songs lyrics must be in English , clean, and "radio friendly" Songs may be instrumental.
* Songs will be judged on originality, lyrics, composition and performance
One Grand Prize winner will be chosen!
The winner will receive:
* A complete professional mix and mastering of their song
* A "Featured Artist" write up on our websites as well as your song played on our Podcast
* Your song will be "shopped" on your behalf (shopping your song is not a guarantee of a contract). You will be provided with a list of who we have sent your song to the style of the winning song.
* A $100 gift card to Sam Ash Music
Deadline to submit is October 1st, 2009 and winners will be announced on or before October 15th, 2009. At least two (2) judges from our panel personally review and judge every song competition. We will occassionally have a "guest" industry judge. Any guest judge will be posted on our page along with a list of their credentials. Please check out our panel below!

Jake R. Tanner is the co-owner of "World Music...Soul Mission". With over 15 years in the music industry, his credits include two Grammy awards as well as album credits for some of Latin music's top musicians and producers such as Celia Cruz, Tito Nieves, Sergio George, Ricky Martin, Paulina Rubio, Grady Tate, Luisito Quintero , Olga Tanon, Luis Fonsi and many more.Coming from a musical family (his grandfather was Opera coach and Conductor Umberto Vedovelli) and being trained in classical music as well, with his well rounded musical knowledge and love of world music, he is proud to be hosting our competion.
George Mena is musician/songwriter/producer and owner of LoveHouse Studio. With over 30 years in the music industry, George Mena's resume' includes touring with Donna Summer as her bassist, Grace Jones, The Tramps, Karen Young and so many more. Efrain "Junito" Davila is a Grammy nominated composer/musician/arranger and producer. A graduate of the School Of Performing Arts in Newark, New Jersey and with over 15 years experience in the Latin music industry, Junito is one of the most sought after composers and arrangers in Latin music today.
